Tom Hingley and The Kar-Pets are an Inspiral Carpets tribute band, but with a notable difference in that they feature the former lead singer of the Inspirals, Tom Hingley, who was a member from 1989 to 2011 and sang on all the bands many chart hits.
With Tom at the helm the Kar-Pets are made up of Dickon Kyme-Wright on keyboard duties, Philip McIntyre on guitar, Ste Pearce on bass and Malcolm Law on drums.
They formed in January 2016 and have already played several festivals supporting acts such as Reverand and the Makers and The Smiths Ltd and last year they played a headline show at the iconic 100 Club in London and have quickly built up a fan following.
Tom says “The songs are the stars, come along and hear them sung by the singer who originally sang them. This is a chance to truly indulge in nostalgia and to make it new for another generation!”
