Yesterday Readipop and Jelly ran another great session for Reading Culture & Arts Networking called Teachers & Artists CAN.
Teachers & Artists CAN was an afternoon of training, professional development & networking to support primary school teachers. The session also introduced the Arts Award to the schools, and there was good discussion on what the accreditation can offer classes and pupils.
The afternoon also gave local artists the chance to talk about the kinds of workshops they can offer schools. This was a really productive session, with a good variety of creative leaders including poets, sculptures, printers, painters, musicians and craft workshop leaders.
