12.00-12.30 TYRANT – Indie rock’n’roll band.

1.00-1.30 DRUG STORE ROMEOS – Musically lethargic psychedelic dream pop.

2.00-2.30 VINYL STAIRCASE – Psychedelic sonic distortions from Dorking.

3.00-3.30 PLESTED – Soulful solo singer & guitarist

4.00-4.30 MODEL LIFE – Anthemic electro pop. Introducing Scunthorpes smoothest and smartest dressed export. Model Life are a 5 piece band drawing on influences from Echo & The Bunnymen, Editors & White Lies. Expect brooding vocals, slick guitars, ice cold synths and choruses ready made for stadiums.

5.00-5.45 VALERAS – A combination of heady guitar riffs and lush vocal harmonies show that Valeras are at the crest of perfecting their sound.

6.15-7.00 VIENNA DITTO – They blend blues, rock, electronica and a sonic homage to b-movie sci-fi to create an eclectic sound that evades comparison. Members Hatty Taylor and Nigel Firth have been crafting “voodoo sci-fi blues” since 2008 following prior stints in 90s indie band Riser and One Dollar Peep Show. “Like Portishead doing a Tarantino soundtrack” Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

7.30-8.15 HAPPYNESS – Alternative rock group Happyness arrived in 2015 on the wave of the 90s slacker rock revival. Their new record ‘Write In’ deviates from the genre’s well trodden paths and instead sees them recalling classic songwriters and pop acts like the Kinks alongside their usual skewed indie-rock leanings, recalling the lackadaisical arrangements of American acts like Wilco and Yo La Tengo. Happyness are a captivating act reviving the summery, uninhibited pop of indie yore.

8.45-9.30 COSMO PYKE – The renaissance 18 year old is also a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose laconic songs draw from his experiences of growing up and day-to-day life in Peckham Rye. Socially conscious and not afraid to question ideas surrounding class and race, Cosmo Pyke’s music combines jazz elements with indie, blues and hip-hop, garnering him comparisons to famed fellow South Londoner King Krule.

10.00-10.45 TOY – Initially arriving in a thrilling whirlwind of feedback and distortion in 2012 with their eponymous debut, TOY are an exciting band that have consistently produced critically favoured records. Supporting friends and sympathetic band The Horrors was a marked moment that set the course for their technicolor soundscapes. Attuned to genres like 90s shoegaze, psychedelia and post-punk, TOY have crafted a niche on the periphery of indie, making melodic and atmospheric alternative rock with sensitivity and depth. Their recent release, album ‘Clear Shot’ is a departure from their previous work, and sees them taking a more folk inspired approach, with references such as The Wicker Man soundtrack to Fairport Convention and English mysticism credited for their change in sound and their sonic journeys into the eerie and arcane.
