Draw The Shades are a Reading based four piece who make anthemic, no holds barred alternative rock, succinctly self described as “full throttle teenage angst making art for your ears”.
Drawing on their teenagehood, Draw The Shades scream insight into the angst and awkwardness of their formative years with a refreshing honesty and a rejection of cool. Instead they turn misplaced feelings, relationship difficulties and not being heard into energetic, liberated tracks which have been recognised by the likes of BBC Radio 6 music as one of their ‘Fresh on the Net’ and BBC Introducing.
The group have recently released single ‘Limits’, and have already made appearances at the festival, as well as playing Reading Oxjam and numerous headline slots at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.
Their mix of dizzyingly heavy sounds and sugary sweet vocals are impactful as much as they are downright infectious, making for an exciting premise live.
