Recently named as one of Spotify’s ‘Hot New Bands’ for 2017, Reading’s own Valeras are going from strength to strength.

The 5-piece rock band are hardly strangers to Readipop, having performed a cracking setlist under their original moniker Area 52 at the festival last year.

Supported by BBC introducing, Valeras have been steadily making a name for themselves, earning then the opportunity to record at prestigious venues Abbey Road and Maida Vale for Radio One, as well as two successful stints at the Reading and Leeds festival along with a slew of live tour dates.

Their upcoming EP ‘Knives and Flowers’ produced by former Hundred Reasons guitarist Larry Hibbitt, who has also produced the likes of fellow rising local act Sundara Karma, is a testament to their growth and maturity in the two years since they garnered their initial buzz.

It’s combination of heady guitar riffs and lush vocal harmonies show that Valeras are at the crest of perfecting their sound.
