In the first project of its kind in West Berkshire, Readipop is working in partnership with West Berkshire Council to deliver digital music and DJ workshops to young people in rural communities in and around Newbury. The project is funded by Youth Music and it aims to give young people, often from small rural towns and villages the chance to try out and develop their skills as budding DJs and producers. DEXNFX is delivering over 30 taster workshops between November 2004 and February 2005 and a further 4 small projects with groups that grow out of the tasters.
